Description

This is a slightly smaller bean than the Supremo. In every other respect, it is equivalent to the Supremo. Mostly grown at high altitudes on small peasant fincas. No one characteristic overpowers another. It is of medium body, vibrant, not overbearing in acidity, lively, with understated fruit tones. Outstanding fragrance when first ground. The Popayan Excelso has superior aroma and produces a smooth, well balanced cup.
